Woodford Halse

Walk : WAW 050

The bridge need never have been built.

It crosses what was intended to be the connection from the main line for trains to run direct to Stratford upon Avon.

It was found to be more practical to run the trains to the station and attach an engine to the rear, and proceed via the West Junction to Stratford, trains only used this line for one month and the junction with main line was taken and the lines had stop blocks fitted and the sidings so made, were used for storage when necessary.
